ORDERING AND SHIPPING INFORMATION
METHODS OF PAYMENT:
We accept Visa, Master Card, Money Orders, and Checks. With checks and money orders, shipment will be delayed for at least 10 business days to make sure the funds are good. The 10 day wait is waived only for payment by USPS money order. We may require payment in advance on special order or big ticket items.
All payments must be in US funds.
SHIPPING AND HANDLING:
The USPS and FedEX Ground are our preferred carriers for all items within the applicable size and weight limits.
For Domestic USA orders the online store the computer generates a shipping cost estimate for ground transportation equal to 16% of the merchandise total. Our actual charge for shipping and handling on your parcel will include the actual shipping cost plus a handling allowance to cover the materials and labor needed to prepare your order for shipping. The shipping formula used in the online store is designed for estimation only. If the size and weight of your parcel justifies a shipping charge which is lower than the computer estimate, you will be charged the lower amount instead of the estimate. If the size and weight of your parcel requires a shipping charge which is higher than the computer estimate, we will call or email you to discuss the situation. The minimum charge for shipping and handling is $10.00. For International Orders shipping and handling will be based on the actual size and weight of the parcel and the shipping estimate can be ignored.
We offer Next Day Air and Second Day Air express services in addition to normal ground service. In all cases, delivery is the responsibility of the carrier. We do not guarantee delivery dates. Again, the shipping cost generated by the computer in the online store is only an estimate for Domestic USA orders. If the estimate is high, you will be charged the lower amount. If the estimate is low, we will call or email you to discuss the situation. International orders will be billed based on the actual size and weight of the parcel and the estimate is to be ignored.
Oversized or overweight items must be shipped by truck freight and truck freight can be very expensive (just so you know). Unusually large items (such as hoods or quarter panels) or very fragile items (such as window glass) will be charged a Crating Charge to cover the extra costs required to build a suitable shipping container. Glass is shipped via air freight only.
If you wish to arrange your own transportation or specify shipment by a particular carrier, there may be a $10.00 service charge to cover the special handling.
FOREIGN ORDERS AND APOs/FPOs
We will ship parts anywhere in the world. All foreign orders must be fully prepaid including shipping and handling. The shipping estimate generated by the computer should not be relied upon since foreign shipping will almost always exceed the estimate. The charge for shipping and handling will include the costs of preparation of any required export documentation. Payment must be in US funds.
PRICES SUBJECT TO CHANGE:
All prices are subject to change without notice. Price quotes over the phone, by email or by snail mail will be good for no more than one week. All parts are subject to prior sale.
If a part is temporarily out of stock, we will backorder the item and ship it as soon as possible. If you have prepaid by check or money order, we will give you the option of getting a refund if we can not ship in 30 days.
Certain items have core charges to insure the return of good, rebuildable parts. Core charges will be refunded only if the core is received by us in complete, rebuildable and assembled condition. We’re sorry but no credit can be given for broken units, those missing parts or for non-T-Bird items. Please include a copy of the original invoice with your core so we know who you are. Cores must be shipped to us freight prepaid.
CONDITION OF USED PARTS:
Used part prices will vary according to the condition of the parts. You need to tell us the level of quality you need. Most body and trim part prices are quoted as Good Used. If you need Show Quality, please ask for it, but don’t expect to get a Show Quality part for a Good Used price. Likewise, if you can use Budget parts, let us know. There is often a good supply of Budget class parts at a fraction of the cost. The price difference between NOS and Budget for the same part is significant. We define the following terms to classify parts: (1) New, NOS and Reproduction - This is a new part from Ford or an after market manufacturer. (2) Show Quality, Mint and Excellent Used - This is a used part that looks almost as good as new. It may be a rechromed item or a part showing almost no visible wear. (3) Good Used - This is a used part which is straight and undamaged. It will show normal wear and tear of age and can have some fading, scratches or nicks. It will have no serious flaws but would need refinishing or rechroming to be show quality. (4) Budget - This is a serviceable part but it will show considerable wear and tear or perhaps be in need of some repair.
A Good Used sheet metal body part (fender, door, etc.) will be free of serious accident damage or rust- through damage. Minor dings, scratches, surface rust and previous body work may be present. A sheet metal piece which is absolutely perfect in every way may be available, but at a premium price.
When you receive your parts, inspect them immediately. If any items are missing due to a broken box or it you receive damaged items, contact the carrier immediately to initiate a damage claim. Do not send the package back to us until the claim is resolved. The carrier will tell you what to do. Keep all boxes and packing materials as they will want to inspect them.
We want you to be satisfied with your purchases from us. When you receive your parts, inspect them immediately. If you are unhappy with a part or if we made a mistake and sent you a wrong part, return it within 10 days and we will replace it. Our policy is to exchange for a satisfactory part or the right part. If you don’t need a part you ordered, you may, within 10 days of receipt, return it for an exchange or a refund. Refunds are subject to a 15% restocking charge. No cash refunds after 45 days. No returns on electrical parts which have been installed. All returns must be shipped to us prepaid. If we made a mistake, we will give you credit for the return shipping in your exchange.
In order to be eligible for refund or exchange, returned parts must be in the same condition as when we shipped them to you. (If you break it, its yours. If it was new, it still has to have the original packaging and still be merchantable as new.) We do not refund shipping, handling, crating or any other shipping related service charges. DO NOT RETURN ANYTHING WITHOUT CALLING US FIRST TO DISCUSS THE PROBLEM.
SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS:
SPECIAL ORDER OR CUSTOM MADE ITEMS ARE NOT RETURNABLE FOR ANY REASON UNLESS WE MADE A MISTAKE ON YOUR ORDER AND THEY ARE NOT REFUNDABLE FOR ANY REASON. Prepayment by check or money order is generally required on special order items.
If you are doing a large restoration project and order all of your parts at one time (even if actual shipment is spread out over a period of time), we may be able to quote a package price. Please call for information.
All merchandise is inspected and will be in satisfactory condition when shipped. Certain items carry 6 month and 1 year in service guarantees. Some new or rebuilt items are warranted by the manufacturer and repair or replacement of those items will be governed by the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty. All electrical and vacuum parts, both new and used, are guaranteed to work for at least 30 days from the date of purchase except where failure is due to faulty or improper use or installation. This guarantee is void if the part has been disassembled. Otherwise, used items carry no warranty of any kind unless one is specifically stated on the shipping invoice. Liability on any item is strictly limited to repair, replacement or refund at our option. We are never responsible for any corollary or incidental damages, nor are we responsible for return shipping costs. We hereby expressly disclaim all warranties, either express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and we neither assume nor authorize any one else to assume for us any liability in connection
with the sale of any merchandise.
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to information that you voluntarily give us. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party except as needed to fill your order. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services or changes to this policy. You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You may contact us at any time via email, snail mail or telephone to see what data we have about you, to correct any data we have about you, to have us delete any data we have about you, and to express any concern you have about our use of your data. We take precautions to protect your information both online and offline. Credit card data is encrypted and after your order is completed, the encrypted data is deleted from all computer files, both online and offline.
